LOVE AND DESIRE IN THE PROMISED LAND HC THE PRIVATE LIVES OF ISRAELIS AND PALESTINIANS (MR)
Creators: (W) Salomé Parent-Rachdi (A/CA) Deloupy
Price: $24.99 | ISBN: 9798875001697 | Product Code: 0426FB0799
In-Store Date: 6/10/2026
Love and Desire in the Promised Land gives voice to a dozen real-life citizens of Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank who navigate messy boundaries in their homes and bedrooms against a background of geopolitical violence. Collecting interviews conducted before the October 7 attack unleashed a new wave of bloody conflict, the book introduces fascinating individuals and couples who speak frankly about the transgressions that define their experiences with intimacy. The portrayals represent a diverse population, including an interfaith celebrity power couple, an Orthodox gynecologist, a young gay Muslim, a Palestinian American feminist, a Ukrainian Israeli artist, and a Palestinian lesbian in a relationship with an Israeli soldier. Through these candid conversations, recorded by Parent-Rachdi and illustrated with a warm touch by Deloupy, the authors illuminate a culture and a people whose humanity has been shrouded by the fever pitch of politics and the tragedy of genocide. In a strict society, where norms are enforced by tradition, religion, and the threat of violence, these ordinary citizens follow their heart and risk it all in the name of love and desire.
FRANK IN THE 3RD DIMENSION HC (MR)
Creators: (W/A/CA) Jim Woodring
Price: $29.99 | ISBN: 9781606998991 | Product Code: 0426FB0800
In-Store Date: 6/10/2026
Frank In The 3rd Dimension is a series of Jim Woodring’s loveliest pictures — 32 anecdotal visual vignettes, dioramas, moments pickled in time — as you’ve never seen Frank before: in 3D, about as real as you can get him outside of an Ionescoian theatrical performance (which could be next — watch your local theater listings). Frank and Frank’s world are already hallucinatory, but seeing him in the most technologically advanced and artistically crafted 3D ever produced—more than 150 layers per drawing to round and “sculpt” each image into full, volumetric 3D — is an experience that has to be savored to be believed. Packaged with 3D glasses designed by Woodring himself, this new printing brings one of our most requested titles back into print again.

Nancy is an American icon. She’s timeless. She’s a meme. The world-famous artist Andy Warhol once painted her portrait. She’s been on a postage stamp. To this day, when you look up “comic strip” in The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, it shows a Nancy comic by Bushmiller! As another famous cartoonist once put it, “It’s easier to read a Nancy comic than it is to not read one.” Nancy, along with on-and-off again boyfriend Sluggo, deliver absurd laughs panel after panel, all rendered in Bushmiller’s chiseled cartoon perfection that feels untethered to time or place. An acknowledged masterpiece of humor and cartooning, Nancy’s brand of lowbrow absurdism and unexpected visual delights have held sway over generations of early readers, artists and celebrities, to say nothing of its impact on American culture as a whole! Bushmiller created Nancy from 1938 to 1982, and in recent years, interest in his work has surged to a fever pitch. Jam-packed with over 300 comic strips from the years 1953–1954, Nancy For All Seasons features a fresh and contemporary new design that will entertain all ages.
